Emerald Cut

The Emerald Cut is a shape that is part of our faceted line.   What is the faceted line of shapes?  It describes shapes that have a flat surface that is great for after-press decorating, and then facets around the edges of the bead that taper to a nice crisp edge all the way around.  The flat surface also means that the beads lay nicely against the skin. 

Because of the tapered edges, all of the shapes in the Faceted Line require a less glass than many tab shapes. (For an explanation of our shapes, go to our FAQ page).  This is an added benefit to you as a lampworker because it will take you less time to wind on your base amount of glass and also saves you glass.  It is a benefit to you as a jewelry designer or your customers because beads will weigh less and not be bulky in your pieces.  Not to mention that the facets catch the light and provide a stunning sparkle for added elegance.

Rocio Bearer and Ron Bearer Jr. have developed some exciting new bead bending tools.  In the picture above, Rocio made these beads with the Long Med Emerald CattWalk press and then bent them using her bending tools.  These beads are incredibly comfortable worn against the wrist!
